PrettyBoysWearPearls
PrettyBoysWearPearls was my semester long project where I developed a style guide for my brother. He started making music in high school and PWP has become his main artist name. He makes hyper-pop music which is about brash sounds and vocals that are referential of Y2K. I created a new logo, wordmark, color palette, and chose fonts for him to use. From there I developed a style guide for usage as well as making some Instagram posts, a tour poster, and some merchandise. My brother was very picky and wanted everything to appear rough and not very professional so I had to thread the line between what he wanted while also developing something that looked professional and would be successful in actuality.
To the right is the style guide I built for the PrettyBoysWearPearls brand. It is a semi-comprehensive guide to the brand, it will continue to grow and change as the PWP brand grows. There is still a lot of things to add, for instance if there was a website there would be a section on language for the website and color usage because the PWP color palette was designed for CMYK usage so it would need to be adapted for web use.
